Prishtina Airport – Sheet Metal Roof Transport Mechanism

Prishtina Airport roof construction – concept visualization

Overview:

PNC supported a roof construction project at Prishtina Airport where the sheet metal roofing was manufactured directly on site. Large sheet metal rolls were processed and corrugated at the construction area, requiring a practical method to transport the material safely from ground level to the upper roof structure.

The project required the design and planning of a site-based transport mechanism that could move long sheet metal panels to the roof construction area. The solution had to consider the building geometry, available working space, roof access, material length, handling safety, and the workflow of the on-site corrugation process.

PNC developed the concept for a transport system, supporting the movement of the sheet metal from the loading point on the ground to the receiving point at roof level. The mechanism was planned to reduce manual handling, improve site efficiency, and support continuous roof installation work.

Scope of work included:

  • Transport mechanism concept for roof construction
  • Sheet metal roll loading point planning
  • Roof-level receiving point layout
  • Material handling and lifting logic
  • Site condition and access review
  • Support structure and transport path concept
  • Safety and workflow considerations
  • Technical visualization for project communication
