Overview:
PNC supported the full setup, commissioning, and optimization of a 5-axis gantry-style CNC cutting machine with dual-table configuration. After the machine was imported, PNC carried out the initial assembly support, machine leveling, commissioning, calibration, and functional testing to bring the system into stable operation.
The work included RTCP point calibration and verification, machine kinematic checks, gantry alignment, and dual-table setup. This ensured accurate simultaneous 5-axis cutting with stable tool center point control and reliable machine movement.
In cooperation with external contractors, the machine was also upgraded through a control system retrofit from BWO 900C to the newer BWO Vektor control platform. This modernization improved the machine control environment and supported more reliable operation for advanced 5-axis cutting applications.
Scope of work included:
- Initial machine assembly support after import
- Machine leveling and mechanical alignment
- 5-axis RTCP point calibration and verification
- Gantry-style CNC kinematic setup
- Dual-table configuration and synchronization
- Autodesk Fusion / Fusion CAM post-processor optimization
- 5-axis toolpath simulation and testing
- Machine commissioning and cutting validation
- Control system retrofit support from BWO 900C to BWO Vektor
- Functional testing with support from specialized contractors
Result:
The machine was successfully commissioned, calibrated, upgraded, and validated for accurate simultaneous 5-axis cutting. The final setup provided stable RTCP control, reliable machine movement, and improved control system performance through the BWO Vektor upgrade.
